The naysayers of grace-based parenting are usually people who assume that grace goes light on rules and low on good behavior.
So many people misunderstand what grace really means. In the process, they miss the value of parenting with grace.
BODY
Grace encompasses everything good about God’s plan for mankind. As such, it makes the perfect platform for raising our kids. Grace is an others-oriented and others-first plan that tempers the motives behind our actions as parents. Kids don’t have to perform or constantly measure up to grace-based parents. They don’t have to complete our ego or live out our lost dreams. Under the leadership of grace-based parents, kids can struggle with life out in the open without fear of ever being written off.
Grace-based parents know their children’s deepest longings, see their truest needs, understand their greatest challenges and envision their highest potential. And when you do this with your child’s unique inner bent in mind, it’s even better.
