INFORMATION WE COLLECT
For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server automatically recognizes only the consumer's domain name, but not the e-mail address (where possible). We collect only:

  • The domain name, but not the e-mail address of visitors to our Web page.
  • The address and/or e-mail addresses of those who post messages to our bulletin board.
  • Aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit.
  • User-specific information on what pages consumers access or visit.
  • information volunteered by the consumer through online transactions (registrations, donations, store), online surveys, forms to access free downloads or materials, and e-mail subscriptions.

The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web page, used to customize the content and/or layout of our page for each individual visitor, used to notify consumers about updates to our website or to send e-mail or direct mail regarding special Family Matters promotions, products or donation opportunities.

With respect to cookies: We use cookies to store visitors preferences, record session information, such as items that consumers add to their shopping cart, record user-specific information on what pages users access or visit.

If you do not want to receive e-mail from us in the future, please let us know by updating your Membership Profile, or calling us at the telephone number above., or visiting our Contact Us page.

If you supply us with your postal address on-line you will only receive the information for which you provided us your address.
Persons who supply us with their telephone numbers on-line will only receive telephone contact from us with information regarding orders they have placed on-line, an event they have registered for online, or donation opportunities.

We want to be very clear: We will not obtain personally identifying information about you when you visit our site, unless you choose to provide such information to us. Providing such information is strictly voluntary. Except as might be required by law, we do not share any information we receive with any outside parties with the exception of event registration. Event registration information will be shared with the hosting organization and the organization partnering with Family Matters for that event for administrative purposes only.

CHANGING INFORMATION
Upon request we provide site visitors with access to unique identifier information (e.g., Member ID or password) that we maintain about them, transaction information (e.g., dates on which customers made purchases, amounts and types of purchases) that we maintain about them,  and contact information (e.g., name, address, phone number) that we maintain about them .

Members can access this information by or in their Membership Profile.

Upon request we offer visitors the ability to have inaccuracies corrected in contact information, and transaction information.

Consumers can have this information corrected by calling us at the above telephone number or making changes in the Membership Profile or sending us an email by visiting our Contact Us page.

With respect to Ad Servers: We do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies.

Family Matters sometimes recommends, references, and/or provides links to various other parties or organizations (collectively, "third parties") and/or third party Web sites. From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice.
